Pune: Finolex Industries, Mukul Madhav Foundation donates ‘Endoscopy Machine’ to Sassoon General Hospital

Pune, 23rd May 2022: Finolex Industries and it’s CSR partner Mukul Madhav Foundation has donated an endoscopy machine to Sassoon General Hospital. This machine dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of decease related to the digestive system was handed over to the hospital staff recently.

 

Sandip Khardekar of Creative Foundation, Congress Women wing city president Pooja Manish Anand, Industrialist Vijay Bajaj, Dr. Vinayak Kale, Dean of Sassoon General Hospital, endoscopy expert Dr. Vinay Thorat, HOD Dr. R. T. Borse along with representatives of MMF, Doctors and staff of Sassoon were present at this occasion.

 

Dr. Vinayak Kale said, “The Sassoon hospital, dedicated to the service of the downtrodden, is getting equipped with modern treatment facilities with the help of donors. Many patients from the state including Pune get treated here. All the doctors, nurses, and support staff is striving hard for providing the best services. In this cause, we are getting support from organizations like Mukul Madhav Foundation. This creates a ray of hope about Sassoon in the hearts of laymen.”

 

Dr. Kale extended special thanks to Ritu Prakash Chhabria, managing trustee of MMF. ‘This modern machine will enhance the speed and accuracy of diagnosis that will help the patients greatly, he added.

 

Dr. Vinay Thorat said, “The MMF is always in the supportive mode for us. Now Sassoon has been enabled to provide the treatments which are not available in other hospitals in Pune and only available abroad. Society should note that ultramodern and technological diagnosis and treatment facilities are available in the Sassoon hospital at affordable price.”

 

Sandip Khardekar said, “We always try to keep the social health at a better level. I got closely connected with MMF during the pandemic. The contribution of the MMF is remarkable. The Chhabria’s stand firmly to fulfilling the deficit. Their contribution in modernizing Sassoon is unmatched.”

 

“An endoscopy unit for diagnosis and treatments of the digestive system was unveiled in the memory of Mohini and Prahlad Chhabria at Sassoon in 2018. Around 2500 to 3000 patients are diagnosed and treated every year in this unit. This new facility will provide a modern facility for the patients,” said Borse

 

Pooja Anand also appeased the contribution of the foundation. She appreciated the efforts of Ritu Chhabria in extending help to the downtrodden of society.

The number of patients related to deceases of the digestive system is growing. In these times endoscopy center and modern machinery is the need of the hour.
