Pune: Fire Breaks Out at New Talegaon Dabhade Nagar Parishad Building

Talegaon Dabhade, 6th February 2025: A fire erupted at the new building of Talegaon Dabhade Nagar Parishad around 7:30 PM today, causing alarm but resulting in no injuries or fatalities. The blaze, which started in a temporary bamboo structure surrounding the building, was swiftly contained by emergency responders.
The fire originated from a welding spark that ignited the bamboo scaffolding erected for ongoing construction work. The incident occurred just days before the new building was scheduled to become operational.
Multiple agencies responded promptly to the emergency, including the Talegaon Dabhade Fire Brigade, MIDC Fire Brigade, Vanyajeev Rakshak Maval, and the local Disaster Management Team. Their combined efforts, along with support from the Police Administration, Civic Body Officials, and local citizens, were crucial in preventing a potentially major disaster.
The fire was successfully extinguished within 15 minutes of the initial report. The quick action and coordination among various groups effectively minimized damage to the new civic building.
