Pune: Fire Brigade Puts Out Fire At Grocery Store, No Fatalities Or Injuries Reported

Pune, 30th November 2022: Today (30th November), at 4:44 in the morning, two fire engines were dispatched from Hadapsar and Kaleborate Nagar fire stations by the fire brigade after receiving a report of a fire in a shop at Fursungi, Harpale Vasti, Tarangana Society.

 

On reaching the spot, the brigade noticed a grocery store on the ground floor of the seven-storey building was on fire. They poured water on the fire with the help of a hose pipe. After ensuring that no one was trapped in the shop, they brought the fire under control within 20 minutes. In the next few minutes, the fire was completely extinguished without spreading further, and the jawans avoided further danger.

 

 

Since the grocery store was closed, no one was inside, and no one was injured or killed. The fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical short circuit. The grocery store, Ramdev Super Market, lost all its groceries, furniture, and many appliances, including the fridge, in the fire.

 

Hadapsar fire station officer Pramod Sonawane, drivers Narayan Jagtap and Amit Sarode, and jawans Dattatray Chaudhary, Mahendra Kulal, Chandrakant Navale, Suraj Yadav, and Nitesh Dagle were involved.
