Pune: One Arrested For Selling Ganja In Kothrud Area
Pune, 30th November 2022: The Anti-narcotics squad nabbed a man for selling ganja (cannabis) in the Kothrud area. 7.5 kg ganja, a two-wheeler, and a mobile set worth Rs 2.13 lakhs were seized from him. Karan Kumar Bharat Rai (22), a resident of Gurudatta Colony, Shivai Chowk, Karvenagar, and a native of Thana Dumra, Sitamarhi, Bihar, was arrested.
The Anti-Narcotics Squad received information that a person was coming to sell ganja in the Kothrud area. Police laid a trap and caught him. His bag was searched. Seven and a half kilos of ganja were found in the bag. Items such as a two-wheeler, electronic scale, and mobile set were seized from Rai.
The operation was conducted under the guidance of Assistant Commissioner of Police Gajanan Tompe, Senior Police Inspector Vinayak Gaikwad, Assistant Inspectors Shailja Jankar, Sujit Wadekar, Maruti Pardhi, Manoj Salunke, Rahul Jaeshi, Vishal Dalvi, and others.
