Pune: Fire Erupts at Aura Ice and Cold Company in Bhosari

Bhosari, 21st October 2023: An extensive fire incident engulfed the premises of Aura Ice and Cold Company in Landewadi, Bhosari on Saturday, October 21st, around 3:30 p.m. The blaze erupted within the company’s confines, and the quick response of the fire brigade prevented a potentially catastrophic situation.
At the time of the incident, the company had closed for the day, and only four individuals were present within the premises. Unfortunately, two of them were located on the third floor when the fire broke out. In an attempt to escape the flames, they leapt from the building, sustaining injuries in the process. Both injured individuals are currently receiving medical care at Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital in Pimpri. While the remaining two individuals managed to escape unharmed.
The company was reportedly in the midst of a demolition process, and initial investigations suggest that the fire may have originated during metal-cutting operations. While the exact cause of the fire remains unconfirmed, there is speculation that the presence of thermocol in the vicinity of the ground floor may have fueled the flames.
A swift response by the fire brigade played a crucial role in containing the fire. Two fire brigade vehicles, along with approximately 15 fire brigade personnel, arrived promptly at the scene to control the blaze. Local Police also contributed to the efforts to manage the situation.
