Pune: Fire Erupts at Dapodi Metro Station – Quick Response Prevents Casualties

Dapodi, 16th February 2024: A fire broke out at Dapodi Metro Station today at around 11 am, causing panic and temporarily disrupting services.

The incident was reported to the fire department by Milind Chavan, leading to a swift response by the personnel of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Fire Department.

The fire, which originated from the high voltage panel at Dapodi Metro Station, was attributed to the overheating of the cooling coil. Upon arrival, the fire department encountered heavy smoke in the metro station area. Quick action was taken, and firefighters wearing artificial breathing apparatus utilized extinguishers to bring the fire under control.

No casualties were reported in the incident, and there was no loss of life. The efficient response of the fire department played a crucial role in preventing the situation from escalating further. Authorities are now investigating the cause of the fire and assessing any potential damage to the metro station’s infrastructure.
