Pune: Fire Erupts At Private Company Near Bhima Koregaon; Fire Brought Under Control After Five Hours Of Efforts

Wadhu Budruk, 17th December 2022: A major fire erupted at a private company, AIM, in Wadhu Budruk, Pune at around noon. Fire brigade officials informed that two workers were injured in the incident.

 

The fire extinguishing operation started in the company which was in a one-acre area. The company was doing the work of making cushions and cloths for the filter and interior of vehicles.

 

Reportedly, 50 LPG cylinders weighing about 47.05 kg and four cylinders of 19 kg caught fire from which eight cylinders burst. The fire took a severe form and after the efforts of 50 firemen, the fire was brought under control after five hours.

 

The operation was conducted under the guidance of Pune fire brigade chief Devendra Potfode, and PMRDA fire officer Vijay Mahajan. Five fire brigade vehicles were sent from PMRDA. One vehicle each from MIDC Ranjangaon, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Alandi Nagar Parishad and Shirur Nagar Parishad.
