Viman Nagar, 12th March 2026: Entrepreneur and ultra-distance cyclist Kanthi Dutt has crossed the 550-kilometre mark of his ongoing 750 km Hyderabad–Mumbai cycling expedition, engaging Pune’s fitness community during a special interaction held at Phoenix Marketcity Pune on Thursday.

The seven-day endurance ride, undertaken in association with the Sports Authority of India, aims to promote disciplined fitness habits and encourage people to adopt a more active and healthier lifestyle. Dutt’s expedition highlights the growing intersection of entrepreneurship, endurance sport and community-driven wellness initiatives.

During the Pune halt, runners, cyclists and fitness enthusiasts from across the city gathered for a community fitness interaction. The event featured an energetic workout segment led by the team from Multifit Pune, which conducted a high-energy Zumba session along with fun fitness challenges such as plank and squat competitions. Participants actively joined the activities, creating an atmosphere that encouraged movement, engagement and friendly competition.

The expedition also marks the launch of The Fear Project, an initiative designed to build psychological resilience through endurance sports and motivate individuals to push beyond perceived physical and mental limits.

Speaking about the journey, Kanthi Dutt said entrepreneurship and endurance sport both require resilience and consistency. He added that the expedition is intended to inspire people to see fitness as a long-term commitment rather than a short-term goal, emphasising that small and consistent efforts can bring meaningful improvements in health and lifestyle.

Actor Ayaan Lall also joined the session and interacted with participants, highlighting the importance of building sustainable fitness habits among young people. He said activities like community fitness events help people realise that staying active can be simple, enjoyable and driven by collective participation.

The programme also included a discussion between Dutt and nutritionist Amita Gadre on the importance of nutrition and recovery in endurance sports. Entrepreneur Devyani Pawar attended the event and interacted with members of Pune’s fitness community. The session was hosted by Nayandeep Rakshit and concluded with an open audience interaction and media engagement.

After completing the 550 km milestone in Pune, Dutt has now begun the final leg of his cycling expedition towards Mumbai. The initiative is supported under CSR by MIC Electronics Ltd and Sai Silks Kalamandir Ltd.
