Pune: Five Killed In Accident Between Innova and Pickup Tempo On Ahmednagar-Kalyan Highway
Junnar, 4th April 2023: A fatal accident between an Innova vehicle and a pickup Tempo on the Ahmednagar-Kalyan highway near Vatkhale village in in Junnar taluka of Pune district has resulted in the death of five individuals, with one person seriously injured. The incident occurred at approximately 9 pm yesterday and was reportedly caused by the driver of the Innova losing control of the vehicle, resulting in a head-on collision with the pickup.
Despite the best efforts of Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Kandge and his team, along with local residents, five out of the six individuals in the Innova passed away before they could receive medical treatment. The pickup driver narrowly escaped the accident with no injuries.
The impact of the collision was so severe that the airbag of the Innova broke and fell to the side. The accident has caused a commotion in the Junnar area. The names of the deceased have not yet been released.
The tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and responsible driving, particularly on highways and winding roads such as those in Malshej Ghat area.
