Car and Cargo Truck Collide on Pune-Mumbai Expressway, Leaving Two Dead and Two Injured

Malavali, 4th April 2023: Two people lost their lives in a tragic accident on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway when a car collided with a cargo truck at Malavali.

The deceased have been identified as Jai Sawant and Vikas Sawant, while Ashwini Rane and Arya Sawant are currently receiving treatment for their serious injuries. The car driver, who was headed from Pune to Mumbai, lost control and hit the cargo truck from behind, resulting in the accident.

The two injured victims were immediately admitted to a private hospital for treatment while the two deceased individuals were unfortunately pronounced dead on the spot. The front part of the car was badly damaged in the collision. According to reports, both vehicles were traveling on the same lane when the accident occurred.

The accident is believed to have been caused by the car driver’s loss of control. The Rane and Sawant families, originally from Sindhudurg, were en route to Mulund in Mumbai when the tragedy occurred. The injured victims are receiving medical attention at a private hospital in Somatane.
