Pune: Food Vendor And His Wife Brutally Assaulted By Goons In Bhosari, Three Arrested
Bhosari 15th July 2023: The Pimpri Chichwad Police have arrested three people for allegedly assaulting a food vendor who runs anda bhurji stall in Bhosari for not giving him food. The arrested accused also threatened the food vendor by saying “You have to give us whatever we ask for because we are ‘Bhai’ of Bhosari and if you do not listen to us you will be killed.”
The incident took place at around 7:30 pm on Thursday. According to police, the accused are known to the complainant. The complainant and his wife were brutally assaulted by the accused with an iron rod for allegedly not giving them ‘anda bhurji and paav’. The accused threatened him by saying that he will have to give them whatever they ask for if he has to run business in the area.
The police have arrested three accused identifed as Pillya alias Sudarshan Rakshe (23), Karan Gurunath Rathod (25) and Patya alias Prathamesh Dilip Kamble (20), all are residents of Bhosari. One accused whose identity is to be ascertained is on run.
A case in this regard has been registered at Bhosari police station under sections 397 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with section 4(25) of the Arms Act, Section 3 and 7 of the Criminal Law Ammendment Act and Section 37(1) of the Maharashtra Police Act. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
