Pune: For Financial Well-Being And To Conceive Child, Woman Fed Ashes From Crematorium Along With Bone Powder At Gunpoint
Pune, 19th January 2023: In a shocking incident, ashes of a cremation mixed in water were given to a married woman. She was forced to eat bone powder at gunpoint because she was not able to conceive. In this regard, a case has been registered against the concerned family at Sinhagad Road Police Station.
A case has been registered against Jayesh Krishna Pokle, Shreyash Krishna Pokle, Isha Shreyash Pokle, Prabhavati Krishna Pokle, and Krishna Vishnu Pokle, residents of Radhakrishna Villa, Pokle Paradise, Dhayari. Deepak Jadhav and Babita alias Sneha Jadhav, residents of Nigdi also arrested in this regard.
According to the information given by the police, the complainant is a computer engineer and was married to Jayesh in April 2019. A few days after the marriage, the in-laws started harassing the woman. As per the demand of the in-laws, the woman’s family gave Jayesh Rs 10 lakh to buy gold ornaments and a car.
After a few days, the argument started again between them. The unnatural practice was started on new moon day by the Pokale family for prosperity in the household and the woman as she was not able to conceive.
On one new moon day night, family members took the woman to the graveyard. There, some bones of the burnt corpse were collected and put in the ashes. After that, the ashes brought from the cremation ground were mixed with water and given to the woman to drink.
After that, the complainant took the woman to Nigdi by saying that there was Pooja on 11th February 2021, on new moon day. There the Tantrik woman asked the complainant to sit in the place. After making bone powder, the woman asked the complainant to eat it. When she refused, Deepak Jadhav took out his revolver, placed it on the woman’s head, and forced her to eat the powder. Assistant Police Inspector Bharat Chandanshiv is conducting further investigation.
