Pune Forest Department Restricts Gatherings And Parties On Forts For New Year
Pune, 30th December 2022: Admission to the forts would be restricted after 6 pm on 31st December, according to a statement from the Pune Forest Department.
The department decided to punish those who engage in illegal activities on 31st December. Last year, revellers littered the area around the forts, built bonfires, and played loud music. Officers are therefore taking extra precautions this time.
According to Rahul Patil, Deputy Conservator of the Forest Department in Pune, officers will be making rounds on 31st December. Typically, guests are not permitted after 6 pm. On the 31st, extra caution will be exercised.
