Pune: Female Autorickshaw Driver Molested In Katraj Ghat Area, Accused Arrested

Katraj, 30th December 2022: It has come to light that a person who was sitting in a rickshaw as a passenger committed a disgusting act with a woman rickshaw driver.

At Katraj Ghat, the man forced a female rickshaw driver and demanded physical relations with her. After the rickshaw driver refused, he chased the woman by removing all his clothes. The said incident happened at Katraj Ghat on December 26.

In this case, the arrested passenger has been identified as Nikhil Ashok Memzade (30), a resident of Shankar Math, Hadapsar. A 38-year-old woman has filed a complaint in this regard. A case has been registered in this matter at Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station.

Further information, in this case, is that the complainant earns by driving a rickshaw. On the night of December 26, while driving that rickshaw, the accused sat in her rickshaw as a passenger. Saying that he wanted to go to Katraj Ghat, he forced her to take a rickshaw there.

Meanwhile, around 10 pm, while the rickshaw was going through the darkness of Katraj Ghat, he forced the rickshaw driver to stop the said vehicle near a lodging board. The accused slapped her on the cheek and demanded physical relations.

Reportedly, the accused removed all his clothes and sat next to the complainant threatening her that he wanted to have physical relations with her on the same spot as she is not able to seek help.

All this scared the complainant and she got down from the rickshaw and started running. After that, the accused also chased the complainant in Katraj Ghat without his clothes. Scared by all this, the complainant went to the police station and lodged a complaint. The police have registered a case and arrested the accused.
