Pune, 14th November 2024: Former corporators Rekha Tingre and Chandrakat Tingre, officially joined the NCP Sharad Chandra Pawar party on Monday in the presence of party founder and president Sharad Pawar. This move is seen as a significant boost for the Mahavikas Aghadi ahead of the upcoming elections. The event, which took place in Pune, was also attended by city president in-charge Ankush Kakade and senior leader Prakash (Appa) Mahske.

Bapusaheb Pathare, a prominent leader from the region, welcomed the Tingres into the party, emphasizing the importance of their contribution to the upcoming electoral battle. “We wholeheartedly welcome your decision to join the party for the development of the constituency. Their entry will undoubtedly strengthen NCP and the Mahavikas Aghadi, contributing to a certain victory,” Pathare stated.

Rekha Tingre echoed this sentiment, stating, “Let us achieve the goal of development together with unity.”

This development follows a series of strategic moves in the region, as several former corporators, including Sunita Salunkhe, her husband Anil Salunkhe, and Yerwada’s Hanif Shaikh, Farzana Shaikh, and Ayub Shaikh, have already extended their support to the NCP Sharad Pawar faction. These alliances have strengthened Pathare’s position in the region.

Supporters in the constituency have praised Pathare for his development work during his previous tenure as MLA, particularly in addressing local issues and driving progress. “Bapusaheb Pathare has always been committed to solving problems in our area, and we believe in his leadership,” said a local supporter.

As prominent activists, social workers, and local representatives continue to rally behind Pathare, the momentum for Mahavikas Aghadi is building ahead of the assembly elections.

In response to the surge in backing, Pathare expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am humbled by the overwhelming support in the constituency. With this unity and determination, victory is certain. I will continue to work tirelessly for the progress and development of my constituency.”
