Pune: Former Minister Dilip Kamble’s Cars Vandalised Outside Home in Ghorpadi
Pune, 3rd September 2026: Two cars belonging to former minister of state and BJP leader Dilip Kamble were vandalised by unidentified persons outside his residence in Ghorpadi on Wednesday night, sparking concern in political circles.
The incident took place at Citadel Empress Society on BT Kawade Road. Kamble said the attack occurred between 8pm and 9pm when he had gone out with his family.
After returning home, Kamble found that the two vehicles parked outside his residence had been damaged. The attackers allegedly used stones and bamboo sticks to vandalise the cars.
The unidentified persons also cut the wires of all three CCTV cameras installed around Kamble’s residence, raising questions over whether the attack was pre-planned.
Interestingly, no other vehicle in the society was targeted. Police are therefore probing why only Kamble’s vehicles were vandalised and whether the attack was specifically aimed at the BJP leader.
Kamble lodged a complaint at Mundhwa police station following the incident. Police are searching for the unidentified attackers and examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area along with other available evidence.
The fact that the vehicles of a senior BJP leader were targeted outside his residence has triggered discussion in Pune’s political circles, with police probing the motive behind the incident.
