Pune: Former Minister’s Son Among 15 Booked For Allegedly Threatening And Molesting Woman In Wanawadi
Wanawadi 23rd Sept 2023: A 40-year-old woman from the city has lodged a complaint against 15 people including former MLA Balasaheb Shivarkar’s son for allegedly threatening and molesting her over a dispute. The incident took place near Mahatma Phule Cultural Hall in Wanawadi area on Friday evening.
According to the complaint registered with police, the woman had given a contract to workers to build a compound for a land claimed to be of her family. The accused allegedly removed the compound material claiming to be their land and threatened to kill the woman. Further she has also alleged that she was abused and molested by the accused during this incident.
A case in this regard has been registered at Wanwadi Police Station against Abhijit Chandrakant alias Balasaheb Shivarkar, Bhaskar Ratnakar Gaikwad, his son, wife, Rajesh Khairalia, Kiran Chhetri and 10 others under relevant sections. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
