Pune: Fossil India Store Manager Booked For Rs 28 Lakh Embezzlement At Showroom In Phoenix Mall
Viman Nagar, 19th January 2023: A case has been registered against the store manager for embezzling Rs 28,14,460 from the showroom of Fossil India Pvt Ltd company including expensive goods and counter money. This incident took place between October 2022 and December 15, 2022, at Phoenix Mall in Viman Nagar.
The store manager has been identified as Francis Joseph David (35), a resident of Dapodi. In this case, Area Manager Prathamesh Achyut Paithankar (33), a resident of Navi Mumbai has filed a complaint.
According to the information given by the police, the company has its showroom at Phoenix Mall in Viman Nagar. Between October 2022 and December 15, 2022, David, the store manager of the showroom, gave false information to the workers of the store as well as the company’s senior executives.
By gaining the company’s trust, David embezzled 147 items worth Rs 8,73,049 such as watches, jewelry, belt, pouch etc. Also, he took the amount of Rs 19,41,411 from the sold goods and used it for his benefit without depositing it in the company.
In this way, it has been mentioned in the complaint that the company was defrauded to the tune of Rs 28,14,460. A complaint was filed with the police in this regard. Accordingly, a case has been registered after investigation.
