Khadki, 27th August 2025: A road rage confrontation in Khadki left an investment banking employee with a fractured nose and his friend with a dislocated shoulder on Monday evening. Police have arrested four men allegedly involved in the assault.

According to the police, the incident took place around 5:45 pm near a gurdwara on Elphinstone Road. The victim, Satyam Sukhsagar Bhargav, told authorities that he was driving back to his residence in Kharadi from Nashik when two men on a two-wheeler rode on the wrong side of the road, passing his vehicle. “I asked them to ride in the correct lane, and they initially moved away,” Bhargav said in his complaint.

However, the men reportedly returned, approached Bhargav’s car, and began attacking it. “They started hitting my car and assaulted me. Then they called two more friends to join them,” Bhargav added.

Bhargav tried calling the police helpline 112 while his friend, identified as Mahesh, rushed to intervene. In the altercation, Mahesh was attacked, resulting in a dislocated shoulder. Two police officers arrived at the scene shortly afterward, prompting the attackers to flee.

Both Bhargav and Mahesh were initially treated at Khadki Cantonment Hospital before being transferred to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital in Pimpri. Bhargav was advised to undergo surgery for his fractured nose.

Khadki police registered a case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including grievous hurt, voluntary hurt, wrongful restraint, intentional insult to provoke breach of peace, and common intention. “The complainant provided the registration numbers of the two bikes used by the suspects,” a police officer said.

By Tuesday evening, authorities confirmed that all four men had been identified and arrested.
