Pune : Four Aspirants Arrested For Using Electronic Devices In Written Exam Of Police Recruitment

Pune 24th July 2023: The Pune City Police have arrested four aspirants for using electronic devices for cheating in the police recruitment examination conducted for the State Reserved Police Force (SPRF) in the city. All the accused are residents of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and were arrested with electronic gadgets during an exam by the police team.

According to police, the written exam for the police constable post with SRPF was held between 12 pm and 3 pm on July 23 at Sinhagad College in the city. The arrested accused had used small microphones that were fit inside their ears and they were connected with a device having sim card that looks like an ATM card kept in their pocket and they were connected with the other accused outside through it. Besides, some of them were also found using a spy camera installed in their shirt’s buttons to click pictures of the question paper.

The flying squads following inputs was conducting an enquiry on the suspected cases of copying in the exam. Accordingly, the suspects were checked and electronic devices were recovered from their posesion. Four accused identified as Yogesh Ramsing Gusinge (19), Sanjay Sulane (19), Yogesh Suryabhan Jadhav (25) and Lakhan Udaysingh Naymane (21) have been arrested by police in the case while three more accused have been booked.

A case in this regard has been registered following a complaint by SRPF officer at Sinhagad Road Police Station under sections 188, 420 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with other relevant sections. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
