Pune : Four Year Old Boy Dies After Hit By Dumper Truck, Driver Booked
Pune 31st August 2023: In a tragic accident reported in Wadarwadi area on Wednesday, a four year old boy died after he was hit by a speeding dumper truck. The incident took place at around 4:30 pm on Wednesday.
According to the complaint registered with police, the deceased boy identified as Sarthak Mallinath Birajdar was going to purchase Icecream from a shop when he was hit by a dumper truck near Gokhale nagar road in Wadarwadi. The boy sustained serious injuries in the accident and he was rushed to hospital for treatment but the driver declared him dead.
The boy’s family resides in Ghorpadi area of the city and they had come to visit a relative to celebrate Raksha Bandhan in Wadarwadi area at the time of incident. A case in this regard has been registered against the unknown dumper driver under sections 304 (a) and 279 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with section 184 of the Motor Vehicle Act. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
