Bavdhan, 20th October 2025: A plot of land worth ₹27.91 crore (approximately 13 hectares) in the Sus area of Mulshi taluka was illegally sold despite a ban imposed by a committee headed by a former judge. A case has been registered against ten individuals in connection with the fraudulent inter-sale transaction.

The complaint was filed by a 45-year-old man at Bavdhan Police Station. The accused include residents from Delhi, Pune, Sangli, and Pimpri-Chinchwad.

Police said the controversy dates back about a decade, when a company defrauded its investors. To recover the investors’ money, a committee led by a former judge had reserved the disputed land for refunds. However, the accused allegedly conspired, forged documents, and sold the land worth ₹27.91 crore without official approval, committing fraud.

Bavdhan Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
