Pune: Friend Killed In Dispute While Drinking Alcohol; Case Registered Against One At Loni Kalbhor Police Station
Loni Kalbhor, 9th November 2022: An incident took place in the Loni Kalbhor area where a person killed his friend by throwing a stone on his head due to an argument while drinking alcohol. One person was arrested in this case. The deceased has been identified as Akhtar Sayyid (39), a resident of Kunjirwadi, Taluka Haveli, Pune. Ankush Ramrao Kove (30), a resident of Nagzari, taluka Kinwat, Nanded has been arrested.
Sayyid’s wife Jasmin (35) has filed a complaint at Loni Kalbhor police station. Sayyid and Kove are friends and both are daily-wage workers. Both were drinking alcohol at night sitting next to the SK Wines shop located in the Kunjirwadi area on Solapur road.
Reportedly, they had an argument over a minor reason. Kove hit Sayyid’s head with a stone resulting in Sayyid getting seriously injured. He was admitted to the hospital but he died during treatment. Police Sub-Inspector Ghodake is investigating the case further.
