Pune, 15 October 2023: ‘My Pet Care’ clinic launched a remarkable initiative during a grand event for our furry friends called “Petyo,” a one-of-a-kind drive that provided free check-ups for more than 50 canines. This move not only reflected the clinic’s deep commitment to animal welfare but also helped thousands of residents become aware of pet health and care.

The event witnessed a large turnout of pet owners, who, despite the India-Pakistan cricketing clash, prioritized the well-being of their furry companions, marking a significant shift in the traditional Indian mindset towards pet health and welfare. Ishita Lal, the founder of ‘My Pet Care,’ was overwhelmed by the response. “These events are not just about check-ups. They are platforms of enlightenment, educating pet owners on the nuances of pet health, diet, and regular veterinary care, which are often overlooked,” she said, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in expanding awareness and responsible pet ownership.

Dr. Ruchali Ghatge, a seasoned veterinarian, played a pivotal role in ‘Petyo.’ Her expertise, teamed with her profound love for animals, facilitated a nurturing environment for the pets. Alongside her, Dr. Avinash Kuldipkar and Krupali Ghatge worked tirelessly, addressing the concerns of pet parents, diagnosing health issues, and providing guidance on preventive care.

‘My Pet Care’ isn’t your everyday veterinary clinic. Nestled in Hadapsar, it has become a sanctuary for pets, offering a wide array of services ranging from regular medication to intricate surgeries. What sets them apart is their heartfelt involvement with the community. The clinic is often the first resort for kind-hearted individuals who rescue injured or sick strays. In such instances, ‘My Pet Care’ extends treatments at discounted rates, underscoring their philosophy that every life, irrespective of its owner, is precious and deserves care and compassion.

“The success of ‘Petyo’ not only advocates for equal emphasis on pet and human health but also positions community-driven entities like ‘My Pet Care’ as catalysts for fostering a more conscious, compassionate society,” said Rajeev Kumar, the co-organizer of Petyo.
