Pune: Gang Vandalism Continues – 8-9 Vehicles Targeted In Maharshi Nagar

Swargate, 11th September 2023: The spate of gang-related vandalism continues to plague Pune, resulting in significant losses for vehicle owners. Once again, the city has witnessed an unfortunate incident of vehicle damage, leaving owners reeling from the financial toll.

This incident occurred in the Maharshinagar area, where a gang targeted and vandalized 8 to 9 vehicles in the dead of night.

Maharshi Nagar falls within the jurisdiction of the Swargate police station in Pune. On Sunday night, an unidentified gang carried out their destructive act, causing damage to several four-wheelers. The vehicles bore the brunt of this attack, with their windows shattered. Following the vandalism, the perpetrators swiftly fled the scene, prompting a search by the police, who are now scouring through CCTV footage for clues.

In a separate incident, just two days ago in Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Colony, located near Market Yard, another gang resorted to damaging two-wheelers using swords and choppers. Approximately ten to twelve vehicles fell victim to this rampage, with headlines of numerous vehicles smashed. Some two-wheelers had their petrol tanks damaged by machetes and swords, while the tail lamps of other vehicles were also shattered.
