Pune: Gangs Clash with Weapons at Pune’s Sassoon Hospital Premises, 3 Persons Injured
Pune, 24th February 2023: A violent clash broke out between two criminal gangs on the premises of Sassoon hospital in Pune, causing panic and chaos in the hospital premises. The incident took place around 4 pm.
According to officials, following a quarrel in the Ramtekdi area of Hadapsar in the afternoon, both gangs went to Hadapsar police station, and the cops took them to Sassoon hospital for medical examination, accompanied by staff of the detection branch. However, a confrontation occurred between the gangs near the Outpatient Department (OPD) of the hospital. The accomplices of the gang members were armed with choppers and attacked each other, leading to injuries to some people. The incident has been captured by the CCTV cameras.
Security personnel and police on duty at the hospital tried to intervene and control the situation. The police have arrested the goons from both gangs and registered separate offenses against them.
The incident highlights the ongoing issue of criminal gangs and the need for stronger measures to prevent such clashes and ensure the safety of the citizens.
