Pune Ganja Case: Six Arrested by Kale Padal Police, 1.04 Kg Ganja Seized

Hadapsar, 28th September 2026: Kale Padal police have arrested six people in an investigation into the alleged sale and supply of ganja. Police said the seized property, including a car and mobile phones, was valued at ₹9,27,377.
Senior Police Inspector Girisha Nimbalkar said, “The investigation began on September 21, when officers patrolling against illegal activities received information about a man standing near a tree on an open ground by the SRPF area with a white bag. A police team went to the spot with two independent witnesses and detained Yogesh Pralhad Adsul, 40, of Akhil Ekta Colony near the railway gate in Kale Padal, Hadapsar. He was found in possession of 1,044 grams of ganja.”
Police allege that the substance was recovered from Adsul during the operation.
Assistant Police Inspector Amit Shete, who is investigating the case, subsequently arrested five men whom police allege supplied ganja to Adsul. They were identified in the press note as Vijay Raju Hubalikar, 29; Baban Baburao Dandge, 39; Ashok alias Akshay Satish Jadhav, 28; Sahil Subhash Thombe, 27; and Vikas Sandeep Bodke, 20. Police said a four-wheeler and the accused men’s mobile phones were among the items seized during the investigation.
Inspector Nimbalkar said that there are murder, attempted murder, and narcotics cases registered against some of the accused at different police stations.
The operation was conducted under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 6) Jeevan Baniwal, ACP Atulkumar Navgire and Senior Police Inspector Girish Nimbalkar.
The team included Police Inspector (Crime) Babar, Assistant Police Inspectors Ratnadeep Gaikwad and Amit Shete; Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Rajesh Shete; police personnel Pravin Kalbhor, Amol Fadtare, Daud Sayyed, Pratik Lohigude, Shahid Sheikh, Nilesh Desai, Vishal Thombre, Atul Pandharkar, Nitin Dhole, Saddam Tamboli, Pradeep Khedekar, Mahadev Shinde, Giriraj Jagdale and Amol Jadhav.
