Pune: Ghorpadi Railway Health Unit Now Equipped with Advanced Emergency Medical Equipment

Ghorpadi, 26th April 2025: In a major boost to healthcare services for railway employees and their families, upgraded medical facilities at the Railway Health Unit, Ghorpadi, were inaugurated by Rajesh Kumar Verma, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Pune Division, and Swati Verma, President of the Women’s Social Service Organisation (WSSO), Pune Division.

The upgraded infrastructure includes critical emergency care equipment such as a Cardiac Defibrillator, Multipara Patient Monitor, Multichannel ECG Machine, Fowler Beds, Crash Cart, and Nebulizers. Additional amenities for patient comfort, including an RO water cooler, genset, furniture items, and refrigerators for vaccine and medicine storage, have also been installed.

The new facilities have been provided through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Tata Bluescope Steel Pvt. Ltd. Senior railway officials including Padm Singh Uttam Jadhav, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Dr. N.K. Sajeev, Chief Medical Superintendent, and Dr. Reena Bhargava, Additional Chief Medical Superintendent, were present at the inauguration.

Representatives from Tata Bluescope Steel Pvt. Ltd., including Ajay Rattan, Vice President, and Ranadeep Banerjee, Assistant General Manager, also attended the event.
