Pune: Goldman Sachs Investment Scam: Man Duped of Rs 27 Lakh in Bhosari

Bhosari, 15th April 2024: A person was defrauded of Rs 27 lakh 45 thousand with the promise of a 20 times profit on their investment. This incident occurred between March 26 and April 7 in the Bhosari Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area.

Vivek Bhimrao Patil, a 43-year-old resident of Chinchwad, filed a complaint at the MIDC Bhosari Police Station about the fraud. A case has been registered against the accused individuals: Dipali Sharma, Jai Sahani, and Arya Sharma.

According to the police, the accused contacted Patil using various phone numbers and enticed him with the prospect of receiving 20 times his investment in just one month if he invested in Goldman Sachs. As a result, Patil transferred Rs 27 lakh 45 thousand to the accused. The complaint notes that Patil was defrauded as he neither received the promised profits nor his invested amount. The MIDC Bhosari police are currently investigating the matter.
