Pune: Goon Gajanan Marne’s Son Booked For Rape, Had Threatened To Make Obscene Videos Viral 

Pune, 23rd March 2022: Sinhgad road police station, Pune city police, has registered a rape case against Prathmesh Marne, son of notorious goon Gajanan Marne and NCP leader Jayshree Marne. Prathmesh had also joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) along with her last month.

According to police, the accused and the 22-year-old complainant had met through common friends. He had allegedly taken her sightseeing in the Khadakwasla area and made physical relations at a lodge. He had also filmed the act stealthily. He had physical relations at a flat in Vadgaon Budruk and other hotels. When she learnt about the videos, she asked him to delete them but he refused. He also threatened to make the videos viral on social media if she approached the police.

Police have booked him for offences under sections 376 (punishment for rape), 504 (intentional insult), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Information Technology (IT) Act.
