Pune: Goon Sharad Mohol’s Wife Swati Mohol Joins BJP
Pune, 21st April 2023: In a surprising turn of events yesterday, Swati Mohol, wife of infamous goon Sharad Mohol, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Pune.
Swati Mohol joined the BJP in the presence of Kothrud Assembly Constituency MLA and Minister Chandrakant Patil.
It is important to note that several cases have been registered against Sharad Mohol in various police stations of Pune city and rural areas, in connection with multiple crimes. Following his arrest, Sharad Mohol was sent to Yerawada Jail, where he killed terror accused Qatil Siddiqui.
Earlier, it was speculated that Swati Mohol would join the BJP in the presence of Chandrakant Patil, who was then the BJP State President. However, the party could not finalize the move at that time. Yesterday, BJP city president Jagdish Mulik, former mayor Muralidhar Mohol, and other party office bearers were also present at the event.
Swati Mohol’s entry into the BJP has raised questions and eyebrows, with the opposition parties likely to criticize the party for allowing the wife of a notorious criminal to join the party. It remains to be seen how the BJP will respond to this development and what impact it will have on the political scenario of Pune city.
