Pune, 21st April 2023: In response to the demand for a re-examination, 13,271 students have registered for the Master of Management (MBA, MMS) course in Pune.

The Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to MBA, MMS professional courses was conducted on 25th and 26th March through State CET Cell online mode across the state at 191 centers in the state. However, due to technical difficulties, some students could not appear for the exam. The system was shut down in some places due to server problems, and some students were unable to take the CET due to server issues.

After receiving complaints from the students, the State CET Cell constituted an inquiry committee. Based on the report of the inquiry committee, the re-examination was announced to provide an opportunity to the students who were unable to take the CET due to technical difficulties. The concerned students were given a deadline of 11th April to fill the re-examination application form, and 13,271 students registered accordingly.

Initially, MBA, MMS CET was scheduled to be conducted on 30th April. However, the Maharashtra Public Service Commission will conduct Group B and Group C Services Combined Preliminary Examination 2023 on April 30, which led to the rescheduling of the MBA, MMS CET to May 6. The CET Cell has informed through a circular that the exam will be conducted from 9 am to 11:30 am on May 6.

This decision has brought relief to the students who were unable to take the CET earlier. It has also ensured that they will have an equal opportunity to compete for admission to the MBA and MMS courses. The State CET Cell has assured the students that all necessary arrangements will be made to conduct the re-examination smoothly.
