Pune: Government Allows Joint Sub-Registrar Offices To Continue Operations On Akshaya Tritiya
Pune, 20th April 2023: The Inspector General of Registration and Controller of Stamps, Hiralal Sonawane, has directed that Joint sub-registrar offices will remain open on government holiday on 22 April 2023, which falls on Akshaya Tritiya, to meet the demand of citizens. Akshaya Tritiya is a popular day for buying and selling real estate, and the decision to keep sub-registrar offices open will allow citizens to complete property transactions on this auspicious day.
Orders have been given to the Joint District Registrars of all districts to determine which offices will be open, and in Pune city, five sub-registrar offices will remain open on 22 April and 23 April. These include the Joint Sub-Registrar Office at Siddhi Tower Dapodi Haveli no. 17, Yugai Mangal Hall at Erandwane with Joint Sub-Registrar Haveli no. 22, Yugai Mangal Hall Erandwane with Joint Sub Registrar Haveli no. 21, Siddhi Tower Dapodi with Joint Sub Registrar Haveli no. 25, and Joint Sub-Registrar at Government Photo Registration Office Building No. 23.
The sub-registrar offices at Siddhi Tower Dapodi Haveli no. 17 and Yugai Mangal Hall Erandwane with Joint Sub-Registrar Haveli no. 22 will operate from 1 PM to 8.45 PM. Siddhi Tower Dapodi with Joint Sub Registrar Haveli no. 25 and Yugai Mangal Hall Erandwane withJoint Sub Registrar Haveli no. 21 will operate from 7.30 am to 3.35 pm, and Joint Sub-Registrar Haveli no. 23 at Government Photo Registration Office Building will operate from 9.45 am to 6.15 pm.
This decision will provide relief to citizens who are keen on completing property transactions on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya. The continuation of Joint sub-registrar offices on government holidays is not new, as these offices have remained open in the past on other auspicious occasions. The decision to keep the offices open on Akshaya Tritiya is a welcome move that will enable citizens to complete their property transactions smoothly.
