Pune: Groundbreaking ceremony for third phase of Shivsrushti to be held on Shivrajyaabhishek Din

Pune, 4th June 2025: The third phase of Shivsrushti, being developed by Maharaja Shichatrapati Pratishthan at Ambegaon Budruk in Pune, will witness its groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, June 6, at 10:30 am. The ceremony will be performed by Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. This information was shared by Jagdish Kadam, Trustee of the Pratishthan and Chairman of the Shivsrushti project.

Jagdish Kadam further elaborated, “Maharaja Shivchatrapati Pratishthan, working since 1967, is developing Shivsrushti over 21 acres in Ambegaon Budruk, based on the vision of the late Shivshahir, Maharashtra Bhushan, and Padma Vibhushan Babasaheb Purandare. This historical project, leveraging modern technology, showcases the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and is the only one of its kind in Asia. The project aims to spread and promote Shivaji Maharaj’s teachings, values, and legacy. The estimated cost of the project is ₹438.68 crores. After the inauguration of the first two phases, over 5 lakh tourists, history buffs, and students from schools and colleges have visited the project. With the groundbreaking ceremony, the third phase is expected to gain momentum soon.”
