Pune: Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil Emphasizes Ward-Level Meetings to Address Citizen’s Concerns Post Ganeshotsav
Pune, 14th September 2023: District Guardian Minister Chandrakant Dada Patil has taken a proactive step to address the essential issues faced by the citizens of Pune city. He has directed officials to organize ward-level meetings after the conclusion of Ganeshotsav to tackle these challenges directly. The objective is to conduct inspections at the ward level and implement necessary measures to resolve pressing problems.
In a recent meeting held at the Government Rest House, Guardian Minister Patil reviewed the problems and development projects in the Kothrud and Shivajinagar Vidhan Sabha constituencies. Present at the meeting were MLA Siddharth Shirole, Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar, Additional Commissioner Vikas Dhakne, Superintendent Engineer of the Water Supply Department Anirudh Pavaskar, and various department officers from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), as well as chief officers from ward offices.
Guardian Minister Patil emphasized that citizens’ fundamental expectations include access to clean water supply, proper sanitation and waste transport, well-maintained roads, and efficient sewage drainage systems. He stressed the importance of the municipal administration taking timely actions to address these concerns. To achieve a permanent solution for the water supply issue, he urged for the swift completion of water supply scheme projects and water tank construction. Additionally, Patil highlighted the need for effective control over pothole repairs on city roads.
MLA Siddharth Shirole expressed optimism that the issues specific to his constituency could be promptly addressed if reported and communicated adequately.
