Pune: Hadapsar Police Bust Gang Who Broke Into Mobile Shops; Rs 22 Lakhs Seized From Them Along With 97 Mobile Phones

Hadapsar, 7th November 2022: Hadapsar police have arrested a gang of thieves from Bihar who broke into mobile shops and looted lakhs of rupees. Rs 22 lakhs has been seized from them after exposing five mobile shop burglary cases. It includes 97 mobile phones, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 5) Namrata Patil in a press conference.

 

Senior Police Inspector Arvind Gokule, Police Inspector Digambar Shinde, API Vijaykumar Shinde, and Sub Inspector Avinash Shinde were present on this occasion.

 

The names of those arrested are Sahil Anil More (20), a resident of Deshmukhwara Shivane, Sanket Prakash Nivgune (22), a resident of Bangude Chal, Warje Malwadi, Laxman alias Anna Jadhav (34), a resident of Happy Colony, Gosavi Vasti, Kothrud.

 

 

An incident took place on October 23 when thieves stole 102 mobile phones worth Rs 19 lakh by breaking the shutters of the New Sai mobile shop in the Uruli Devachi area. In this case, the Hadapsar police checked the CCTV footage and received information about the vehicles used by the thieves.

 

Suspect Sahil More was detained on the information received by Police Constables Shahid Shaikh and Atul Pandharkar. During interrogation, he confessed to stealing with the help of accomplices Sanket Nivgune, Laxman alias Anna, Santosh More, Gajanan More, and Popat Dhavade.

 

When the police detained Sanket Nivgune, the team received the information that the mastermind of the crime, Laxman Jadhav, was in Bihar. Sub-Inspectors of Police Avinash Shinde, Shahid Sheikh, Atul Pandharkar, and Bhagwan Hambarde went to Bihar.

 

With the help of technical analysis done by API Vijaykumar Shinde and Sandeep Rathod, police raided the house of accused Monusingh, a resident of Bishnapura Kala and Lakshman was detained and 97 mobile phones were seized.

 

The operation was carried out under guidance of Additional Commissioner Namdev Chavan, Deputy Commissioner Namrata Patil, ACP Bajrang Desai. The team included Senior Police Inspector Arvind Gokule, Police Inspector Digambar Shinde, Police Inspector Vishwas Dagle, API Vijaykumar Shinde, Sub-Inspector Avinash Shinde, and Sushil Lonkar, Avinash Gosavi, Sandeep Rathod, Sachin Jadhav, Sameer Pandule, Shahid Sheikh, Prashant Dudhal, Nikhil Pawar, Prashant Tonape, Sachin Gorkhe, Suraj Kumbhar, Bhagwan Humbarde, Anirudh Sonwane, Atul Pandharkar.
