Pune: Haveli Land Records Office Clears Record 1,200 Land Survey Cases In March Under State’s 100-Day Action Plan
Haveli, 9th April 2025: In a significant achievement under the Maharashtra government’s 100-day work planning initiative, the Haveli Land Records Office has successfully resolved 1,200 land survey cases in March alone—double its monthly average. Deputy Superintendent Amarsingh Patil stated that this marks the highest number of cases ever settled in a single month by the office.
The Haveli office consistently receives the highest number of land survey requests in the state, with more than 800 new cases filed every month. Due to this volume, delays in processing are common. However, following government directives to resolve all pending land survey cases filed until December 2024, the office created a detailed action plan to speed up operations.
Traditionally, the office clears an average of 600 cases a month, but thanks to coordinated efforts and strict discipline, the March figure reached a new high. The office now only has pending survey cases received after January 2025.
The state government has also instructed that all land survey cases be completed within 90 days of receipt. Acting on this, the Haveli Land Records Office has already begun surveys in 13 villages marked under the red zone and completed survey work for land acquisition related to the Ring Road project.
According to Patil, the office first focused on manpower planning. Surveyors were assigned cases village-wise after a detailed review of incoming applications. Cases from neighboring villages or along the same route were grouped and assigned together to make fieldwork more efficient. This strategy enabled surveyors to resolve multiple applications in one visit.
Thanks to this mission-mode approach and the dedication of staff, not only were the cases resolved efficiently, but applicants were also provided with official land survey copies, ensuring transparency and accountability.
