Pune, 09 April 2025: The Department of Computer Engineering at Wadia College of Engineering, Pune, successfully organised the 12th National Conference on Recent Advances in Computer Engineering (RACE 2025) on the 4th and 5th of April 2025. The two-days event served as a significant platform for academicians, research scholars, and students from across the country to share knowledge and explore cutting-edge developments in computer engineering.

The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Padamja Joshi, Senior Director at CDAC, Mumbai. In her keynote address, Dr. Joshi emphasized the transformative impact of artificial intelligence, machine learning, quantum computing, and cybersecurity, and advocated for increased interdisciplinary collaboration and continuous innovation in technological research.

RACE 2025 featured multiple technical sessions covering a broad spectrum of topics within computer engineering. Over 118 participants from reputed institutions and industries presented their research work, fostering academic dialogue and opening avenues for future collaboration.

In her welcome address, Dr. Manisha Dale, Principal of Wadia College of Engineering, highlighted the real-world significance of such conferences and their role in bridging the gap between academia and industry.

The event was steered to success by Dr. Mrs. Nuzhat F. Shaikh, Head of the Department and Convener of RACE 2025, who expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all contributors. She specially acknowledged the support of MES Trustees Dr. A. S. Chandak and Prof. S. N. Sanap.

The organizational backbone of the conference included Dr. Govind Pole as Organizing Secretary, along with Coordinators Prof. Mahesh Shinde and Prof. Anand Dhawale, supported by a dedicated organizing committee whose efforts ensured the seamless execution of the event.

The conference concluded with a valedictory session, where future directions for research and development in the field were discussed, leaving participants inspired and motivated to pursue innovation in computer engineering.
