Pune: Heavy Vehicles Restricted on Madhukosh-Prayeja City Chowk Stretch on Sinhgad Road
Pune, 4th March 2025: Heavy vehicles will not be allowed on the stretch between Madhukosh Society and Prayeja City Chowk on Sinhagad Road during peak hours. The order was issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Amol Zende to reduce congestion and prevent accidents in the area.
Madhukosh Society and Prayeja City are densely populated residential areas with multiple housing societies and ongoing construction projects. Additionally, the nearby industrial estates in Dhayari and Narhe contribute to increased movement of heavy vehicles on this stretch.
To ease traffic flow, the movement of heavy vehicles on the Warje service road towards Prayeja City has been restricted from 8 AM to 11 AM and 5 PM to 8 PM daily, informed DCP Zende.
Citizens facing traffic-related issues in this area are encouraged to submit written complaints to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Police, Golf Club Road, Yerwada.
