Pune: Hindu Rashtra Sena’s Tushar Hambir Attacked In Sassoon Hospital, Policeman Injured While Saving Him
Pune, 6th September 202: Three to four people tried to attack Tushar Hambir, who is associated with the Hindu Rashtra Sena, with a crowbar in Sassoon Hospital. However, the policeman on guard stopped the assailants. He has sustained injuries.
The incident took place at Sassoon Hospital around 10 PM on Monday. As soon as the information was received, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 2) Sagar Patil and Senior Police Inspector Pratap Mankar of Bund Garden Police Station rushed to the spot. The attackers are absconding and the police are searching for them.
According to officials, there has been an incident of attack on Hambir in Yerawada Jail before. Serious crimes like murder have been registered against Hambir. Currently, he is in Yerwada Jail. Since August 25, he was being treated at Sassoon Hospital due to illness.
