Pune: Hinjawadi Industries Association Conducts Drive To Clean RGIP

Hinjawadi, 16th December 2022: The Hinjawadi Industries Association (HIA) conducted a drive on 16th December to clean the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park (RGIP). Employees of the companies gathered in large numbers at numerous spots along the entire stretch of RGIP and cleared garbage, paper and other trash lying on the roads.

The initiative was supported by MIDC with the active participation of MIDC staff. Vehicles for the collection of filled garbage bags and their disposal were provided by MIDC. About 12 tractor-trolley loads of garbage were collected during the cleaning drive.

Post the drive, all participants gathered at Infosys Phase 1 and were addressed by Col Charanjeet Singh Bhogal, COO HIA and Krishnan Subramanian, President HIA. President HIA stressed that this was a small beginning that should trigger actions for more sustained efforts in future.

The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Manisha Bhosale, Chairperson of the Clean and Green Committee of HIA.

The event ended with refreshments and informal interaction among participants.
