Pune: Hinjawadi Police Arrest Flynaut SaaS Founder for Cheating 400 IT Freshers with Fake Job Promises
Hinjawadi, 24th August 2025: The police have arrested the founder of Flynaut SaaS Private Limited for allegedly duping over 400 to 500 IT freshers of lakhs of rupees by promising them lucrative jobs in the IT hub.
The accused, identified as Upesh Ranjit Patil, a resident of Hinjawadi Phase 2, reportedly collected more than ₹17 lakh from job seekers through various consultancies. Police said Patil lured candidates by assuring them of immediate placement in reputed companies and forced them to pay advance money. However, after receiving the payments, the promised jobs never materialised.
A case of cheating has been registered at the Hinjawadi police station (Pimpri Chinchwad police), and investigators are now appealing to more victims to come forward.
“This crime was taken seriously as hundreds of youngsters were cheated of their hard-earned money, and their dreams were shattered. On the Police Commissioner’s orders, we investigated the matter and arrested Upesh Patil today. If anyone else has fallen prey to this fraud, they should immediately contact us,” said Senior Police Inspector Balaji Pandhare of Hinjawadi police station.
