Hinjawadi, 19th August 2025: Despite repeated complaints and prior intimation to authorities, residents of Hinjawadi have alleged that the congested stretch at Laxmi Chowk remains in a neglected state. The Wakad-Pimpri Chinchwad Residents Development and Welfare Association claimed that even after sharing videos and highlighting the poor condition of the road nearly 15 days ago, neither the PMRDA nor the MIDC has taken corrective action.

The association pointed out that the pothole-ridden stretch has become a major traffic bottleneck in the IT hub, severely affecting daily commuters. “The situation is so bad that even police wardens, deployed to regulate traffic, are unable to manage smoothly. At times, they struggle to even take a break for meals due to the heavy congestion caused by potholes,” the association said in a post on social media platform X.

Residents have now urged Pune Divisional Commissioner to step in and direct the concerned authorities to repair the road without further delay. They argue that unless urgent measures are taken, blaming traffic police for congestion will be unfair as the root cause lies in the neglected infrastructure.
