Pune Horror: Young Woman Endures Assault, Blackmail, and Abuse
Yerwada, 27th August 2023: A shocking incident of sexual assault and blackmail has come to light in Pune. A young man allegedly coerced a girl into consuming alcohol at a party, and when she fell ill, he took her to a hotel where he reportedly abused her. The accused reportedly took explicit photographs of the victim and subsequently subjected her to repeated instances of rape, all the while threatening to make the compromising images public.
The distressing incident was brought to the attention of police when a 28-year-old resident of Pimple Saudagar decided to take action. She filed a formal complaint at the Yerwada police station, detailing her ordeal. The police swiftly registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused, identified as Abhishek Sattuji Tikkal, a resident of Chandan Nagar.
According to the account provided to the police, the accused allegedly invited the victim to a party held at Effingut Club in Viman Nagar on July 22. At the party, he purportedly coerced her into consuming alcohol against her will, leading to her experiencing health complications. Seizing the opportunity, he reportedly took her to Lemon Tree Hotel, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.
What followed is a deeply disturbing sequence of events. The accused allegedly captured nude photographs of the victim, leveraging these explicit images to threaten and manipulate her. Under this cloud of fear, he is said to have sexually assaulted her at various locations.
The relentless torment eventually led the victim to seek help from law enforcement. The case is now being investigated by PSI Gotade.
