Bhosari, 26th November 2023: In a spectacular display of indigenous cattle and horses at the International Exhibition Center in Moshi, Pimpri-Chinchwad, a Marwari horse named Farzand, valued at a staggering Rs 7 crore, has become the talk of the town.

The event, organized by the All India Bullock Cart Association on November 25th and 26th to celebrate the birthday of Bhosari Vidhan Sabha Constituency MLA Mahesh Landge, showcases India’s largest exhibition of native cattle and horses, along with an animal health camp.

The exhibition features a diverse array of cattle breeds. Participants compete for first, second, and third places, with a unique ‘ramp walk’ planned for the top-ranking cattle—an unprecedented initiative in India.

Originating from Rajasthan, Farzand, the Marwari horse, stands out not only for its exceptional lineage but also for its lavish lifestyle. Owned by Yuvraj Jadeja, Farzand consumes 15 litres of milk, 5 kg of gram, and 5 kg of pulses daily, exclusively accompanied by ‘Mineral Water.’ This four-year-old hybrid, born to a Rajasthani father and a mother of Ratnagiri origin, has amassed over 1100 victories in competitions across Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh, remaining undefeated to date.

Yuvraj Jadeja, a prominent landowner and businessman from Gujarat, invests a whopping Rs 2.5-3 lakhs every month in Farzand’s maintenance. A dedicated team of four caregivers attends to the horse, and a specially designed ambulance-like carriage ensures safe transportation. Additionally, a 24-hour stationed doctor oversees the horse’s health, emphasizing the elite treatment accorded to this prized horse.
