Pune, 9th August 2023: In a concerning incident, a Hinduism-focused website managed by a Pune resident recently received a disturbing comment that contained threats of a planning bomb blast in India and an intention to assassinate the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Pune police have taken swift action by launching an investigation into this matter and registering a case at the Alankar police station.

The threatening comment was posted on August 6 by an individual who identified himself as M A Mokheem. The comment’s content raised serious alarms as it targeted India’s security and the country’s leader. Rahul Dudhane, the owner of the website www.hinduismfacts.org, stumbled upon the comment while he was at a private hospital in Erandwane area. The comment explicitly outlined plans for a significant bomb blast in India, funding of terrorist organizations, and a desire to eliminate the Hindu religion and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

As soon as the website owner Dudhane became aware of the comment, he promptly reported the threat to the police control room. Deputy Commissioner of Police Suhail Sharma, responsible for Zone III, confirmed the registration of the case and assured that an investigation in the matter is underway. Initial findings indicate that the IP address associated with the threatening comment originates from outside India, prompting authorities to delve deeper into this grave matter.

Based on the complaint from a policeman of the local intelligence branch, Alankar Police Station registered an FIR yesterday. The message also has mobile number which belongs to a woman from Telangana with her current location in Hyderabad.

Police have registered the case for offences under sections 505(2) and 506 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation is going on.
