Pune: Hotel Waiter Booked For Installing Mobile Camera Inside Toilet To Record Objectionable Videos Of Customers
Pune 21st August 2023: In a shocking incident reported at a hotel in Akurdi, a waiter has been booked for allegedly installing a mobile inside a hotel’s toilet to install objectionable videos of customers. The incident came to light after a man went to use the toilet and notices the mobile phone wrapped inside a peper.
According to police, the complainant had gone to eat food with colleagues at Geeta Pav Bhaji hotel located in Akurdi. However, when he went to use the toilet he found something wrapped in a paper and he was shocked he saw a mobile phone in it. It is alleged in the complaint that the mobile phone was placed to record objectionable videos of customers at hotel.
A case in this regard has been registered at Nigdi Police Station against the hotel waiter Iranna Shivanna Pandhare under section 66 (e) of the Information Technology Act. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
