Pune: Husband And Wife Attacked By Leopard
Ambegaon, 8th February 2023: A husband and wife who were returning home on a two-wheeler from work from Manchar were attacked by a leopard on Tuesday at around 7.00 pm in Chandoli Khurd, Ambegaon.
Popat Wable (30) and his wife Namita Popat Wable (26) were returning home after leaving work on Tuesday evening when a leopard suddenly pounced on them in the limits of Chandoli Khurd village. As the leopard hit the bike, the husband and wife fell on the road.
The leopard ran away due to the loud noise of the vehicle. The couple was injured after falling on the road. Namita Wable suffered injuries to her head and Popat Wable injured his leg and hand.
At this time, Ganesh Abhang and some local citizens admitted them to a private hospital in Manchar. As soon as the information about the incident came to light, the forest officials met the husband and wife at the hospital, questioned them, and promised to provide the necessary help.
Meanwhile, there have been incidents of leopards attacking two-wheeler drivers on this road many times before, and this incident has increased fear in the area.
