Pune: Seven-Year-Old Child Attacked And Bitten By Stray Dogs In Wadgaon Sheri Society, Citizens Demand Solution
Wadgaon Sheri, 8th February 2023: A seven-year-old boy was bitten and seriously injured by a group of stray dogs in Brahma Suncity Society in Wadgaon Sheri on Tuesday evening.
The injured boy is undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) of Sassoon hospital.
A section of residents of the society claimed that there are over 100 stray dogs on the premises, which is causing them trouble. They also claimed that such incidents have taken place in the past as well.
In this regard, the said residents have lodged a complaint with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Yerawada Police.
After the incident, over 50 stray dogs of the society have been taken into custody the civic body. This drive was going on even as of Wednesday morning.
