Pune: Husband Dies By Suicide After Pregnant Wife Dies In Accident
Narayangaon, 18th November 2022: A husband died by suicide after consuming poisonous medicine due to the mental shock from the death of his 23-year-old pregnant wife in an accident in Junnar taluka of Pune district on Thursday.
Ramesh Navnath Kanskar (29), a resident of Dhondkarwadi Nimdari, Junnar, was married to Vidya Kanskar (23), who died after being hit by a tractor trolley in front of the dairy on the main road of Warulwadi on November 14. Ramesh and Vidya, with Vidya’s mother Vimal Jadhav, had come to Narayangaon to buy gold ornaments. While going home on a bike after shopping, Vidya got off the bike due to a traffic jam in front of the milk dairy. At the same time, a tractor was coming from the front with two trolleys full of sugarcane. Vidya was hit by one of them and came under the wheel.
She died on the spot in front of her husband. Ramesh was under mental stress for the last three days, thinking he was responsible for this accident. In the same condition, he consumed poison around midnight. As he started suffering from vomiting in the morning, his family rushed him to the hospital. Ramesh was initially admitted to a private hospital in Junnar. However, as his condition worsened, he was taken to a hospital in Narayangaon. However, he died in the meantime.
Ramesh Kanskar and Vidya had a love marriage. Some of her education expenses were borne by Ramesh before marriage. Vidya had no one but her mother. So Ramesh was taking care of Vidya along with her mother. They got married eight months ago. Vidya was one month pregnant. Ramesh was shocked by the accidental death of his wife. He is survived by his parents, a brother and a sister.
